Hotel was very pretty inside and rooms were decent, however both rooms we booked we're fairly dirty especially the bathroom which seems to not have been updated at all in a long time. The tub also felt pretty grimy. Looked like nail clippings were left and trash from a notification about the pool being closed in a prior week. The air quality kept giving us some issues as well but I attribute that to potentially dust. Housekeeping looked to be on their phones a lot and had left a window open in one of the rooms so we initially thought the AC was broken and had maintenance up. We only realized once we opened the shades the window had been left open who knows how long so I feel housekeeping should have seen this. The pool was nice although I was given the incorrect hours for their bar and the hours for one of the restaurants was not updated on the website which was disappointing as we had wanted to eat there. Staff we did interact with such as the bartenders/front desk/valet were absolutely amazing though and made our experience pleasant. TV also didn't work well in one of the rooms but that didn't really affect our experience

We had an outstanding stay at The DeSoto in Savannah. The hotel has a great atmosphere, an excellent location in the heart of the historic district, and most importantly, a team that truly understands hospitality. A special shout-out to the manager, Mitch, and his team. You can tell when a property is being led the right way. The staff was welcoming, professional, attentive, and made us feel genuinely appreciated throughout our stay. Great hotels have beautiful rooms and amenities, but what separates the best from the rest is the people and the experience they create. The DeSoto delivered on both. If you’re visiting Savannah, I highly recommend The DeSoto. We will absolutely be back!

I attended a Rotary Club of Savannah meeting here and had an excellent experience. The service was outstanding, and the location was very convenient. I parked at a nearby public parking garage and enjoyed the short walk to the hotel. The hotel has a beautiful and welcoming atmosphere, and the staff provided excellent service. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience, and I would highly recommend this hotel. Delicious : Food Perfect : Service

Looks like a Ritz online, feels like a rundown motel in reality. Avoid! Don't let the online photos fool you. While the marketing gives off an upscale, Ritz-Carlton vibe, the reality is an old, dirty, and outdated property. The poolβ€”which my kids and I were incredibly excited aboutβ€”is a tiny, massive disappointment compared to the pictures. The biggest failure of this hotel is the abysmal, uninviting, and hostile staff. While eating breakfast, my son became severely nauseous. He walked to the lady at the front of the restaurant to ask where the restroom was, but she completely ignored him (likely due to her earbud). She completely turned her back on a sick child, resulting in him throwing up right in the restaurant. I had to run over, assist him, find the restroom, and cover the mess with napkinsβ€”all while this employee amazingly saw none of it and failed to help in any way. The wonderful restaurant supervisor eventually took over to clean it up after I reported it, but the host staff is completely unacceptable. Things only got worse at 5:00 AM over something as simple as coffee. After being given only decaf the day prior and having to fetch caffeinated pods myself, I went down to
